Jackie has experience working in a pediatric hospital in various settings and understands the challenges and complexities of coping with chronic illness.  She specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Background & Qualifications

Jackie is a Licensed Independent Social Worker, who specializes in working with children, adolescents and families dealing with chronic illness.  Jackie has experience working in a pediatric hospital in various settings and understands the challenges and complexities of coping with chronic illness.  Jackie also specializes in the treatment of anxiety and depression for children, adolescents and young adults.

Jackie uses a client centered and strength-based approach, incorporating therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy and Family Systems Theory. Jackie creates a non-judgmental space utilizing the client’s strengths to help them create treatment plans and achieve their goals.

Jackie has a wide breadth of experience including working in a pediatric hospital, mobile crisis team, child welfare and school based mental health. Jackie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland and her MSW from Catholic University National School of Social Service in Washington, D.C.  Jackie is dedicated to helping children, adolescents and young adults while providing them with a safe space to achieve their goals.
